Teeth move faster, and less discomfort is felt because the heat-activated archwires use body heat. They are common because they are very efficient and affordable. They are more beautiful when decorated by colored bands. These braces are highly noticeable hence some people shy away from them.

The way they are fixed in the mouth makes them hard to clean hence take your time and follow the instructions of the expert. They are in high demand because of the invisibility trait. You have to be patient because they are the least efficient braces that take long to give a result which is also not as impressing as the outcomes other braces. They cause so much discomfort because they are in direct contact with the tongue.

Ceramic braces almost resemble the traditional braces due to their similarity in shape and size. The ceramic braces are however made of ceramic and not metal. The ceramic material makes them blend with the color of the natural teeth; hence they are not easy to notice. They are more expensive than the traditional braces, but more people love them because they are not easy to notice. They need special care because they are easy to stain.

Invsalign braces are easy to notice because they are very distinct. These of custom-made, clear plastic aligners are worn over the teeth. 18 and 30 different aligners are enough to align the teeth. They are quick to remove and must be renewed after every two weeks the entire treatment process. They are invisible and enables one to eat with them comfortably hence they are popular. They are expensive but can only correct minor dental problems.

Self-ligating braces also look like the traditional braces. However the wires of the self-ligating braces are held in place by clips rather than elastic bands thus friction is minimal. The reduced friction has made them more comfortable to wear and easy to clean. They have a higher price than the traditional metallic braces, and they are visible.
